Our pricing is calculated based on three factors: the physical size of a piece and the cost of materials used in its production. This approach ensures transparency and fairness across our range of work.

How size affects price

• Artwork dimensions are measured in square centimetres (height × width). Larger pieces require more time, space and often different handling, so price increases proportionately with area.

• For three-dimensional works or pieces with significant depth, volume or complexity, we apply an adjusted scale that reflects added labour and display considerations.

How material cost affects price

• We itemise the primary materials required for each piece (for example: canvas, timber, metal, specialist paints, pigments, varnishes, framing materials). The direct cost of these items is added to the base price.

• When a work requires rare, imported or custom materials, the material component reflects current supplier prices and any special sourcing or shipping fees.

Base rate and calculation

• A standard base rate per square centimetre covers routine labour, studio overheads and basic finishing. This rate is applied uniformly to all works and reviewed periodically.

• Final price = base rate × area (or adjusted volume factor) + total material costs + any specific additional fees (see below).

Additional fees

• Framing: quoted separately based on materials and complexity.

• Special finishes or custom commissions: included in the material or labour portion as itemised line items.

• Shipping and handling: charged separately and calculated according to destination, size, weight and required insurance.

• Conservation, restoration or complex mounting: charged where applicable, based on estimated labour and materials.

Transparency and quotes

• For commissions and larger works we provide a detailed quote breaking down area calculation, base rate, individual material costs and any extra fees.

• Quotes are valid for a defined period to account for fluctuations in material prices.
